This tutorial will show you how to use dynamic content (current date) in Divi and Elementor to create an auto-updating Copyright year in the footer. You can use the same technique of dynamic content for anything you want in the future. So let do it together.

Creating Current Date in Divi

Step 1:  Add a text module
Step 2:  Click on the Dynamic icon –> then find “Current Date” option like picture below.

Click on Dynamic Content icon

Finding the “Current Date”

Step 3: Fill in the field

Before: Copyright © (notice the space after the symbol)
After: Website name (don’t forget the space). In this example, I wrote “Silver Orchid. All Rights Reserved.”
Date Format: Choose “Custom” from the dropdown list
Custom Date Format: Here you need to type a capital “Y”

And that’s it! Really simple right. The result will be Copyright © Silver Orchid. All Right Reserved.

Creating Current Date in Elementor

Step 2:  Click on the Dynamic icon –> then find the “Current Date Time” option like the picture below.

Step 3: Fill in the field

Date Format: Choose “Custom” from the dropdown list
Custom Date Format: Here you need to type a capital “Y” like Divi.

Step 4: Fill in the Advanced field

Before: Copyright © (notice the space after the symbol)
After: Website name (don’t forget the space). In this example, I wrote “Omid Ahmadi. All Rights Reserved.”

And that’s it for Elementor. The result will be Copyright © Omid Ahmadi. All Right Reserved.
